Dawn Burt

Dawn joined CTCH in September of 2007. She has worked as a full-charge bookkeeper since 1993.

Bookkeeper might be her job title, but it definitely does not describe all that she does at the cat hospital. Dawn's name can be heard ringing through the halls when anything needs to be fixed or figured out. She is most definitely not afraid of getting her hands dirty. It is not unusual for Dawn to get to CTCH and have to change scrubs because she is filthy from climbing into a ditch to rescue a scruffy looking little cat on her way to work.

Dawn moved to Texas from Virginia in 1991. She has volunteered for a local feral cat rescue group for the past nine years and has had animals all her life. Dawn lives with her husband Greg, the man who supports her passion for all animals. Most of Dawn's friends consider her a little fanatical about cats, but at CTCH she fits in perfectly.

Denine LaRue

Denine moved from Connecticut to Texas in 1996.  It has been a huge adjustment, but she enjoys living in Texas now.  She has always loved all type of animals, especially felines.

Growing up Denine could not have cats due to her mother being highly allergic.  As an adult Denine has four cats of her own, Shimmer, Mia, Grumpy and Shadow.  She also has three large aquariums with a total of eight fish.

Denine lives with her fiancé, George and her 11-year-old daughter, Sierra.  Her daughter keeps her extremely busy when Denine is not at work. They both share Denines's passion for felines.  As a member of CTCH Denine has found a family in which she hopes to further her education.

Raegan McGhee

Raegan grew up in the Heights area of Houston, Texas.  She moved to Austin in 2010 to attend St. Edwards University where she graduated with a major in Art & Graphic Design.  A forever growing love for animals, especially cats, brought her to CTCH.

Raegan says she loves her job because she gets to meet new people everyday and love on all the hospital kitties here at CTCH.  She has one cat at home named Nonce, short for Beyonce, who pesters her every morning when it's time to go to work.

Now we know Raegan's secret for never being late for work. Keep up the good work Nonce!

Sharon Godwin
Lead Veterinary Technician

Sharon moved to Round Rock from El Paso, Texas where she had lived her entire life. It has been an adjustment, but she is enjoying being a part of the Round Rock community.

Sharon started working for CTCH in December 2011. Sharon has always cared strongly for animals and dreams of pursuing a career involving them. She has grown up with all kinds of pets. Currently, she has a dog, one cat, and a bird. She is very interested in felines and exotics. Sharon loves wildlife with a strong emphasis on big cats.

Sharon also enjoys writing and hopes to one day publish a book or two, but for now, she is trying to learn everything she can working at CTCH. With her level of determination and hard work, all of her dreams

Sarah Rhea
Kennel Technician

Sarah came to work at CTCH in March of 2017.  She was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she grew up along side her pet cat and best friend Kippy.  She and her family found Kippy as a young stray and they have been together for over a decade now.

When Sarah was nineteen her and her family came to Austin where she started working in retail for a few years.  Sarah heard about the opening we had here at CTCH and was hired.  Now she says she couldn't be happier.  The feeling is mutual.

Sarah lives with her family and their three Dachshunds, Peewee, Pepper and MooMoo.
